Those of you who monitor your sugar and starch intake have probably come across this South American native. Commercially it's gotten rather easy to find white stevia powder, a refined version that often includes fillers to let it measure more like sugar. For diabetics, that's fine, but not for incense making. Check with area health food stores for the green leaf powder. If that fails, go to your local nursery or plant department for the potted plant. It's common for an annual gardens and not terribly hard to grow.

For those that work with charcoal, this one is sweet and green, and light.

For combustible use, this plant does something magical when water is added to dry leaf. Instead of smelling sweet it becomes a lovely green tea aroma. It's also fast burning making it great for a burning base, and shapes easily. For use in fragrances it will work wonderfully with anything you may want to augment or accent a green tea with such as jasmine or lemon.

Happy blending.
